Nth Generation's 11th Annual Symposium broke all attendance records, proving that industry-leading speakers, rich technical content and a $7M onsite Advanced Technology Showcase continue to draw the top IT professionals from Southern California's enterprise organizations to attend this annual, invitation-only three-day IT extravaganza in Anaheim.

This year's Symposium theme was "Journey to Your Cloud" which underscored the fact that every organization's journey toward cloud computing (or delivering IT as a service) is unique based on factors including industry vertical, regulatory requirements, legacy IT environment and adaptability. 

Held August 2-4, 2011 at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, Nth's 2011 Symposium included 11 Keynote speakers, 17 Breakout Sessions and a $7M Advanced Technology Showcase with 35 enterprise solution demo stations. New in this year's Showcase was Nth Generation's "Cloud Corner", a live, six-station, interactive "Journey to the Cloud".

Keynote speakers included Tom Ashbrook, CIO of Bridgepoint Education, Joel Manfredo, CTO of Orange County, KC Choi, VP Americas Solution Architecture at HP, Billy Cox, Director of Cloud Strategy at Intel and Paul Muller, VP Software at HP. Six other Keynotes, a Public Sector Panel and a Cloud Panel completed the lineup of Industry thought leaders presenting during the daily General Sessions. Among the 17 afternoon Breakout Sessions, two standouts were, "Culture Shift: Social Networking & Enterprise Environments - Security Risk vs Reward" with John Pirc, Author & Sr. Product Line Mgmt, HP and "Holistic Data Management Strategies: The Power of One" with Paul Rettberg, Director of Channel & Inside Systems Engineering, CommVault.

At Tuesday morning's General Session, Rich Baldwin, Nth's Chief Strategy Officer announced the launch of a new Enterprise Security Practice. Lead by Jeromie Jackson, Nth's Security Practice will target enterprise security, the #1 concern voiced by IT executives when developing their cloud strategy. "As a trusted advisor to our clients for decades, Nth's new Enterprise Security Practice completes our portfolio of consulting services designed to assist clients in their journey toward cloud computing", Rich stated. Jeromie Jackson joins Nth Generation as a senior security practitioner with decades of expertise. His security certifications include CISSP, CISM, COBIT & ITIL. Jeromie is also President of the San Diego OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) chapter and a SANS Mentor.

Among the 400+ Southern California IT Professionals that attended this year's Nth Generation Symposium, many were overheard proclaiming that this was the best Symposium ever in terms of rich content and direct relevance to their needs.
