Speaker Biography:
As a Brocade Solutioneer, AJ works with Brocade OEMs and End User Customers to help them understand Brocades value in Storage Area Networks and how the technology applies to end user business problems. AJ also conducts training on SANs and SAN applications in classes, seminars and road shows. AJ has more than 23 years of technical experience in hardware solutions, including systems architecture, systems development, and program management. Prior to his work at Brocade, AJ was the Western North America technical architect at Avnet Computer. Before joining Avnet, he was a partner in a consulting organization, where he focused on new I/O technology research and development and provided consulting services for leading companies such as HP, Sun, and IBM. AJ began his career in the computer industry at Digital Equipment Corporation as a member of the MicroVAX and VAXstation products engineering organization.

Speaker Biography - Mike Shafer, Alliance Mgr, HP
As the Brocade Alliance Manager at HP, Mike Shafer is responsible for the technical interchange and business partnership between HP and Brocade. Prior to this role, Mike served as a storage solution architect for eight years, the last six at HP. In his tenure with HP, Mike has held positions including supporting large accounts like Microsoft, T-Mobile, Amazon.com, Nike, Weyerhaeuser, Boeing and Starbucks. Mike was one of five HP engineers to author the XP12000 certification exam. He was also named to the original national storage engineering team as an XP specialist and has received numerous "Winning Spotlight" awards and "Critical Wins". Mike is based out of Bellevue, Washington
