2010 Update: Screen Actors Guild-PPHPScreen Actors Guild-Producers Pension and Health Plan Completes a 5-year IT Strategic Plan with Oscar-worthy Performance
In today’s interview, we find SAG-PPHP celebrating the successful completion of a 5-year IT strategic plan. The goal of the plan was to provide this information-intensive organization with a high performance, highly available and adaptive IT infrastructure. (see today’s SAG-PPHP video interview) Leveraging Technology & Partnerships to Achieve Stellar Results As CIO Kevin Donnellan tells us, each year of the 5-year SAG-PPHP plan involved up to 80 separate IT initiatives. Remarkably, Kevin’s IT organization achieved these amazing results with no increase in staff. Kevin attributes this success to the outstanding individuals on his team, careful long range planning and leveraging the latest technology. During the interview, Kevin also acknowledges the contribution of Nth Generation as a technology advisor to SAG-PPHP. Nth provided support throughout the plan’s execution in the areas of IT solution planning, design, implementation, technical education and maintenance. Today, SAG-PPHP boasts an enterprise-class IT infrastructure with a highly available, HIPPAA-compliant, three-site disaster recovery architecture that ensures business continuance. Listen to Kevin Donnellan and his team describe the process, technology and partnerships they leveraged to accomplish this remarkable achievement. Organization Profile When the spotlights fade and the production wraps, most actors lead normal lives including visits to the dentist, retirement planning, and the other day-to-day activities that occupy us all. In 1960, a collective bargaining agreement between producers in the motion picture and television industry and SAG established the Screen Actors Guild-Producers Pension and Health Plans (SAG-PPHP). For more than 40,000 actors and their dependents, SAG-PPHP manages a common fund to provide pension and health benefits for all eligible SAG members www.sagph.org For more information on how working with Nth Generation can benefit your organization, contact your local Nth Generation representative at 1-800-548-1883. |
